I am making this little diorama using the Miniart kit to work as a backdrop for photographing my 1:35 scale motorcycle builds.

Pic 1 is the kit I am using

Pic 2 is a quick view of the main parts put together

pic 3 I added a coat of red brown primer as the brick color

pic 4 is some dry brushing I still need to tone it down with a wash but I am adding the foundation first

pic 5 is the slabs I made for the parking lot they are essentially spackling plaster pressed into a wood grid then popped loose and then glued to a base they aren't attached to the walls yet just mocking it up

pic 6 is the first couple of passes of paint on the concrete. I plan on doing some Harley and Indian kits so the ever present Harley oil drips are there

Still quite a bit of work to go but this mockup shows the look I am going for using it as a photo background. The bike is a civilian bobber made from a WLA (still working on it) but I will use it for military versions as well Photo Backdrop 07.JPG

Mostly done - one the shelf and as a photo backdrop - after this photo I cleaned up a few splotchy red areas and dry brushed the stairs

I was thinking of a sign but then that limits it to a country or language but I might go for gutters and a downspout or some lighting
