Hello everyone,
I would like share my most recent finished model, the Soviet mobile radar system, P-18 "SPOON REST D" (according to NATO terminology). The kit is from Z+Z Exclusive Models (while the Ural truck included, is the ICM kit) and the scale is 1/72.

It has been waiting in its box half-finished for almost 2 years and now it was about time I took it out again and finish it! However, it was made clear too soon that it needed lots of free time and patience and courage in order to complete it.
It was somewhat difficult to manage it from a certain point onwards, and became a demanding project, but the positive thing about it was that it gives plenty of room for adding extra detailing.

I can say now that am very happy to have finished it successfully and would like to take the opportunity to thank IPMS Hellas and IPMS Cyprus for awarding gold medals to it in the recent IPMS Hellas Show!

PS: The pin seen on the base is an authentic Soviet cold war era Air Defense PVO Badge Pin that I got from eBay.

Congratulations on your build! It is excellently executed! The only Spoon Rest I have seen so far was in 1/35th scale. This one has enough detail to be mistaken for the larger 1/35th scale. Well done. I imagine the radar antenna's must have been a really though job. I am praying for some years for more guidance and tracking radars in resin or better yet styrene. Then we finally have sone vehicles to compliment the existing SA-2, SA-6 and SA-11 kits. So... If any kit manufacturers are reading along: please supply is with Flat Faces, Dog Ears and Spoon Rests! Perhaps a fixed Fan Song would also be nice next to Trumpeter's SA-2 Guideline / SA75 Dvina kits. We already have the missile, the trailer and the launchers in styrene...

I don't usually post much on ML, but I had to log in and leave a compliment for you. The model is breathtaking and seeing it is in 1/72 scale makes it even more astonishing.

Great work, I love it.
