The bus is now for sale at Hobbyterra and Models UA. Interesting subject.

Also, I've noticed ACE is preparing to release its British Staff Car 8HP. Can't wait for this little beast.

These certainly are good days to be a braille modeler.

Cheers,
Peter

Sorry, but they really are old.
The preview of the kit parts already surfaced today here:

Looks good on pictures but, while on this, let me see first that mysterious picture of it repainted grey and used in Luftwaffe. I don't need civilian things, that's it.
BTW, they already prepare the Luftwaffe version also. Quite logical, bearing in mind the only thing they need to do is to change the box and decals. But I wouldn't purchase it too before I'll see the picture mentioned above.

I wouldn't mind having one of these in the collection. This would look cool sitting on my train display board.

Hello

I like the bus, would like to see one in military use.

Given the germans through pure necessity, pressed every type of civilian vehicle into service it would seem very strange if at least one of these was not in military use, not as a "combat taxi" of course, but in rear area, lines of communication, HQ, medical, or transport and supply services, particularly given its size and passenger carrying capacity. Photos exist of many other exotic bus types in these types of service, but not anyof this type, as yet

Will be interesting to see if a picture of it emerges.

cheers
Neil

Hi Neil!
In general you're right, the Germans used to press into service everything suitable around. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Strassenzeppelin bus was never used in the Wehrmacht, don't forget they were few. Less than 10 of them were produced so the chances to see one repainted in Feldgrau are really nil. I'm in doubt the mysterious picture of it in Luftwaffe service exists but in the same time I hope I'm not right. However, the fact is it still didn't surface till now.
