Funny to see on their poster that they advertise it with a "Newly produced 7,5cm StuK40 L/48 w/ travel lock" where I thought it should be a flamethrower barrel.

Thomas

Hi all,
a nice option of an unusual variant of the Sturmgeschütz. But examining Dragon's poster I'm not sure, if they will get it right. To my knowledge and according to History Facts' excellent books on the Sturmgeschütz, the StuG 3 F 8 (Flamm) were October 1942 builds with weld armour on the driver's station and the chassis nose. But Dragon's CAD drawings "Steering brake inspection hatch..." and "Driver visor port..." come from their earlier StuG kits and both show bolted armour, which is right for a December 1942 build StuG 3 F 8, but not to the Flamm conversion of the StuG 3 F 8. Seems to me, that they have to adjust their poster (or their kit ?).

Best regards,

Mathias

Mathias,

The poster should be corrected shortly. I only received it yesterday to review and it was posted on their website before I had a chance to review it.

Tom
