Hello,

Here you see some pictures of the start of a new diorama.
It is based on a photo of a Sherman M4A1 at the libaration af Valkenburg in September 1944. The photo is in the Sherman at war Concord book.

The Sherman is an model from Italeri with some small modifications.

So far the Sherman. It is not finished, i am waiting for the PE set to complete the model.

Here are some pictures about the gate. It is made scratch from foam.

Well, this is it for this time, more to come in the next up-date.

Thanks, Peter

Nice job Peter! I bought some balsa foam but was turned off by the price (it would be cheaper to buy a real house). Do you use an exacto to carve it?

Thanks for posting and please post more as it progresses.

Bill,

I don't know what a exacto is, but this is all carved with a steel pin.
I know the foam is expencive, but it it is great material to make your structures from. The gate is sprayed in its first colors, and i will put some photo's here soon.

Thanks, Peter

The vehicle that will go in the scene is a sturmtiger, already it(he) is painted and finished. The figures lack

The figures are absent for doing(painting) and to mount. The buildings already are, since you can see.
Probably you have seen this diorama in Panzernet

The sturmtiger

The structure of the buildings is of carton, and covered with cork

I wait to start painting it shortly.
And that we could see finished yours promptly.
A greeting July

Hoi,

The sturmtiger looks great, very nice model.
I think i have seen it on the panzernet, it did look familiar.
I like to see it when it is finished.

This is my project at this time, ready for the first base colors.

With the Sherman,

Thanks, Peter.

I am looking foreward to seeing your wonderful dioramas ready - and can't wait for it! (Never dared to build houses in 1/35 myself!)
