The lizard's mouthpiece announced the following today on the MDFC:

"...that Italeri is going to announce 4 new 1:48 scale model kits with new moulds, including Sd.Kfz.234/2, 8.8cm Flak 37, Autoblinda AB 43 and Kfz.385 Tankwagen. This is interesting for 1/48 fans."

In spite of the bile that usually comes out of hiroshi's mouth, his announcements regarding other companies future releases are generally quite accurate.

the Opel Blitz 4x2 fuel tank truck, used by both the German army and the Luftwaffe; a great crossover vehicle.

A few months ago I knew nothing about any WW2 land vehicle, and now I'm really excited about it all.
I can;t see myself ever going back to aircraft, unless it's for a land based dio for something like the Tankwagon.
Those other releases sound great also.I'd love a flak 8.8cm.Wow.
All the best, Paul.

..Italeri slamming in 1/48 quarters. I haven't gotten either of their new kits( AB41 - Opel Blitz ), but would like very much to hear from someone who has actually built them and can voice an educated view...

to build even "difficult" kits. Unless you are building an interior in these kits, you can always add locating tabs to brace the parts in proper position while cementing the parts together. Assembly using sub-assemblies to make the hull can also make the job easier. It does take more building skills than the better fitting Tamiya kits, but all of them can be assembled well if you do some pre-build planning. As for the Italeri-Tamiya Opel Blitz cab problems, you can add a piece of plastic sheet to lower the upper edge of the too-high windshield opening, then fair it in and reshape the cab roof according to photos. Tedious, but not that hard.
