Well described & helpful too. I use Humbrol Thinners & Windsor Newton oil paints exclusively with my washes......

Thank you for the write up AND the pictures to go with it. Perhaps you should consider writing a 'techniques' book just on Soviet WW II armor. The turret choice was great as I love that Uralmasz cast turret. Your article came just in time as I'm finishing up a Tamiya Uralmasz turret and placing it on a converted DML T-34/85 hull. I bought the Harper Castings set of 2 Russian tankers for the T-34 when it's complete.

What color of Tamiya green did you use? Did you add another color to achieve that shade of green (little white or yellows)?

Excellent little how-to on a very important aspect, including the varnish. I am sure a lot of guys will learn from this, I know I did.
