It's a toss up between Trumpeters and Mengs, although Meng have a beautiful rolled steel effect which I haven't seen done as well before.

Having many other Trumpeter kits, they'd be hard pressed to beat Meng's engineering as far as how the kit goes together. I also doubt that Trumpeter's tracks are any where as nice as Meng's. I've got the lower hull built and am working on the tracks today.

The welded-on turret roof plate stands considerably proud on the Trumpeter kit vs. the Meng kit. It also has pronounced flame cut edge compared to the Meng turret. I have read that the T-10 was built at 2 different plants, so perhaps they represent different factories? At any rate both kits loook pretty nice and I'll get both as I did with the T-90s.

... seems to have had an effect on price. The Trumpeter kit is not wildly expensive like the IS-4 or IS-7, waht a surprise!

I hope this will have an effect on the ISU kits as well.

Cheers,

Christophe

Around $42 from Hobby Easy but then shipping is $25 so that jacks it up again

Since at the same Hobbyeasy web site it is ready for pre-order at USD35.23, plus shipping, while Meng's kit is at 42,97 plus shipping...
That's a difference of about 21.90% more expensive for Meng's one.
Not a deal breaker, but may be the deffinitive factor for some people.

It runs around $65 here

I may go for the Meng kit. I built one of their kits and was not impressed (threw it away half painted). But, I really like the T-10
