I was wondering if anyone knows what unit these Matilda's belong to ? They are from the IWM. E9558, E9560 and E9562. They just say from the Western Desert. The only visible markings I can see are the T numbers. What I like most are the tracks with the bar welded on. Our club is doing a group build and finding info on non Caunter painted Matilda's hasn't been easy. I'm guessing they still had flimsie racks on the rear ? Repainted in Lt. Stone over SCC2 with it showing through in the worn areas.

Judging by the tank badge on the Cpl's sleeve it's an RTR unit, which may narrow it down a bit...

Ken,
Thanks for that. I was thinking one of the units from 32ATB, 1RTR,4RTR or 7RTR. At least doing the decals should be easy. (___)

The basic colour would have been Khaki Green 3 as these tanks had been in M.E. since early to mid 1941 before SCC2 came into use.
