M4A1 DV Sherman II chipping

Well back from holiday and right to the bench. been itching to get the camo and chipping done on the old Sherman. Here is where she stands, decals and a first flat coat are on. Will let it all cure a day or two then another flat coat and some chipping.

I know you started the chipping before you went on vacation- did it make any difference that you left it til you came back to start again- ie; was it harder to break through the outer paint layer?

Yes it was. I didn't chip much off mainly because for some reason the desert tan darkened, discolored. I stopped using the water and instead used the sponge tech and a small pointed brush. I could have just kept going but I had already did a light CM and didn't want that ruined because it was a base was what was planned. Hope all this makes sense, LOL
