Thanks for posting. This photo was top-secret for a good while. It goes a long way to help dispel some of the myths about the late Nibelungenwerk paint schemes. No red primer. The fine cross stencil on the drivers plate is red, as seen in earlier color photos.

maybe some day we could join efforts and make drawings for all late war factory schemes...

Hi
Thanks for posting.

Basically it seems to follow the same pattern as the Panther, Tiger 2, 251s etc. Deep bold shades of Olivegrun and Rotbraun covering 2/3 of the tank. Which makes sense as this follows the paint orders given.

Looking at the photo, it appears to be an outtake from a cine film, rather than a 35mm still. If that is the case, probably more to see of other vehicles. Plus, the seller's blurb also talks of equipment being examined by US troops, which presumably happens after this shot was taken....

Also, is the jeep a US Army vehicle or one captured by the Germans? All appearances suggest the latter, notably the "J" on the rear body. If so, no doubt the previous owners took it back!

Is anyone able to give a little more information?
