I need replacement missiles for a Trumpeter SA-6

Hi Guys,

i know it's been discussed before, but I've finally gotten around to building this kit and it's a beauty except for the undersized missiles. They look more like Aim-7 Sparrows on steroids than SAM-6 missiles. Cromwell did a resin conversion for the Shilka and I'd buy one of those just to get the missiles. If I could find one.
Can anybody help me out with this?

To my knowledge, only HAD from Hungary have released a set of correct missiles.

Here is a link

http://hadmodels.com/products.html#ecwi ... ct=7318745

But they come in a full upgrade set not separately.

BTW, Ed have you seen my answer about PE set for the AMX13?

Hi Olivier,

Thanks for the HAD link, I'll check it when I have a free moment later on. Yes, I did see the AMX photo-etch source link that you replied to me with and for that I "Thank you very much". I checked it out, but for the money, I decided to scratch my own solutions. Mostly involved the screens for the intakes and that should be within my skill range.

Again, many Thanks.
Best regards,
ED

The set was designed to backdate the original Heller kit into the very first model. It fixes some flaws and inaccuracies but as you mentioned the most useful parts are the mesh screens.
If you intend to build an early model you will have to make the correct idlers.

...I love how my photos from the SAAMMODELS site are public property for every site selling Sergej's kits.....(rolleyes)

Anyhow, they are also available here from the US and I have a explanation about them as well.

BTW, the correct missiles will not fit the travel cradle. Sergej is working on that.

I do not have the HAD missiles (Sorry Jurjen) but have had a set looked over by another buyer. Both HAD and SP Designs are supposedly equal, with the HAD set being more inclusive (they have the missile cradle parts to fix it and more launcher detail) but the missiles are supposedly not as nicely done. Take it for what it is worth.

I have GOT to get back to your page more often.
My build was stalled on the cruddy missiles.

now I have one fewer excuse..

Anyone have a line on war shot stencil decals?
After the Trumpeter Sa2 debacle, I am not looking forward to naked missiles.

Check the HADModels site link above. You can see that they include war-shot decals with their set. I ordered mine the other day. 2 left in stock.
