Hello, the kit has been many years in my cave and I have decided to give it a chance to be built. I'm aware of its faults and that there are far better models of the Sherman on the market, but the idea is to reduce the number of unbuilt kits . So I've thought two possible options for making a Sherman using the Tamiya kit as donor.

1) A M4 mid or late production: using a Tasca M4A2 cast hoods hull (35018-H)
http://www.tasca-modellismo.com/english/parts-1.html
I have also AFV Club suspension with horizontal return rollers.

2) A M4 Composite: using a Tiger Models Composite hull (AR-0264)
http://www.tigermodels.com/ProductListi ... ID=AR-0264
The problem is that I don't find suitable decals for this version.

Is possible to do these two options? Do I need a psychologist ? Seriously, any help, opinion and suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Do you have a particular theatre in mind?

best regards,

I think either of those options is good. There are some good transfers made by Archer that you can use for either variant:

http://www.archertransfers.com/AR35362.html
http://www.archertransfers.com/AR35254.html
http://www.archertransfers.com/AR35252.html

The last two are for specific 6th Armored division M4 welded glacis hulls tanks, but if you mix and match the side numbers you can make up a set for a composite M4.

I always snap these up when I can as the Turret is superb with a gun breech etc and a minimal interior to be seen through the hatch. The fact they don't have a moulded in Pistol port is very helpful in making Miod LB turrets as you only need to add the thickening on the cheek.
Cheers

IMO, the turret is a little gem considering the years that it have. Regards.

The lack of decals is no longer a problem. Greetings.
