Hello

I have Stryker 1131 in painting stage. Few questions for those who know.

I dont have slat armour on so only paint would be green, right?

Where has stryker seen action besides Irak/Afghanistan ? (those would carry slat+sand paint?)

Struggling to find pictures of active vehicles other than OIF/OEF theatres.

Border patrol, peacekeeping, drug wars ... ??

links, photos or any kind of push to right direction would be appreciated.

Thanks

At least you can find Afghanistan pics showing green Strykers with most of their slat armor removed :

* - Bottom Line Up Front - Forest Green is your only option for it. *

Q - I dont have slat armour on so only paint would be green, right?

A - All Strykers are Forest Green, with or without SLAT.

Q - Where has stryker seen action besides Irak/Afghanistan ? (those would carry slat+sand paint?)

A - See the previous answer, no sand on Strykers

Q - Struggling to find pictures of active vehicles other than OIF/OEF theatres. Border patrol, peacekeeping, drug wars ... ??

A - They have not been used in any other combat theaters and thet are not used by any other agency besides the US Army. The only pics you will find are from Iraq and A'stan, and in training scenarios.

Though this plan never went through, there was an idea a couple of years ago to paint the Strykers a tan color. Here is a link to the story and a few pics.

Gents,
The color that you are looking for is actually Army Green, FS 34094, I know that Lifecolor and Vallejo stock the particular FS in their paint lines.

Thanks for your replies.

Dont know where i got the idea of sand coloured stryker, little brainfart at this end...

I was hoping to find some usage for green totally slatles strykers, I´ll have to go with the training scenario now.

Deadline is in Folkestone so there is no time to change plans.

Thanks again
