Zvezda appears to be firing on all cylinders. Looks like I'll be investing heavily in their figure sets.

Smart move by Zvezda to produce these figures in 1/72 as it appeals to both modelers and wargamers. And for the money you just can't beat the detail.

...how well do these paint up? Can I use them in my standard 1/72 dioramas (if I ever get one done) or will they be over/under sized and clash with my other models?

Dave, they paint up very nicely and hold paint very well. You can mix them with other pieces in 1/72.
