Excellent Firestorm Centurion tyres

I have a number of AFV Club Centurion kits planned but I was unhappy with the rubber tyres. I have seen finished models with split rubber tyres after some years and I would not want that to happen to me. So I decided to buy a number of resin replacement tyres offered by Firestorm of Australia. I was a bit weary at first because they have been around a while and I feared that their moulds might by now have lost some of their sharpness as a result of use. How wrong I was! Perfect circles, rims and fit. I highly recommend these replacement tyres and thank Firestorm for making them available.

While I agree concerning the details, on my set I found the fit a bit loose for some tires. The Firestorm inner diameter was too large for the AFV Centurion wheels.
But it is easier to work with resin if you intend to depict some wear on the rubber tires.

I also used the Firestorm 6-hole idlers and was very happy with them.

I used the Firestorm road wheels on my latest Centurion. I agree they are very nice but not a 100% perfect fit with each one. I would for use them again.
