Definitely needed but its not clear if zimm is molded in or not, shown in box art but
not mentioned in text, as far as I understand it, all late A's would have had Zimmerit.

Meh!

I suspect it will be little better than a QB kit and I absolutely guarantee it will be far too expensive in the UK.

The box art is the either the 1/35 kit or they used the same artwork, did the 1/35 kit have it? I would expect they'll put it on since they have done it in the past although I'd personally not have it moulded on.

Question about late Panther A and zimmerit...

Does anyone know, were all, most, or just some late Panther A's covered with zimmerit?

TIA

Peter

I'd say the late one won't have zimmerit too. The one that's supposed to be an early had zimm on the box art but not on the kit itself.

Hey Peter,

Very early As wouldn't have had it but all later A's should have had it. Zimm was stopped 8/44 and AusF A production stopped approx. 6/44.

cheers

Whatever happened to this company, as they use to make some great 1/72 kits. Dragon's 251, Tigers, Stugs, some Pz IVs, Armored cars, etc are all good kits. Even their Panther Ds aren't too bad. Yet, with the so-called 'Early A' it has gone downhill, as this isn't made for modellers as much as the 'ready to run' market, just to speed up production of the Chinese prison workforce Dragon uses! Seriously, is it just me, or have Dragon dumb down all their recent releases??? I truly looked forward to this release but it will probably be just the 'Early A' with some gimmicks...and definitely no zimmerit, otherwise they would have said something. Dragon likes to boast about their zimmerit, which isn't that bad.

What would our options be for an Early or Late Panther A?

We can bitch and gripe but is the Dragon kit the "only game in town"? I know the Revell kit has some very serious issues. The old ESCI/Italeri has some pretty serious issues as well. Dragon should have put zimmerit on it for sure but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it is the most accurate Panther A out there right?
