Are there any major differences between a Marine and an Army tank crew uniform/outfit, gear? I'm considering Miniart's USMC tank crew 37008 as crew for a 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Bagdad, July 2008 TUSK II.

Marines are better looking and get more women. A Marine makes any uniform look better.

If you use a USMC crew and want to depict them as US Army, you will need to remove all the boxes of crayons from the figures and replace them with MRE's.

Would I be correct in my belief that all of the humorous replies mean the same thing: there is no difference in uniforms or gear? I'm guessing at least one of you would have said so.
Do not let this discourage any further humour!

Hi, Geoff

All joking aside, there are differences between the two services. The Marines wear different body armor than the Army, however Live Resin makes the vests you will need so you can swap the upper torsos out. The load bearing pouches are universal in shape and configuration between the services. The CVC helmets would be the same, the coveralls I don't know for certain. It would be nice if Miniart would hurry up and get those Army modern tank crew figures out, wouldn't it?

In general, US Army Tankers wear a lot of unit patches. Marines do not. CVC helmets I believe are the same. Others may know more on current gear.

Have fun>
