Hi Guys

Well the construction of the interior is done

I started the final phase with the engine:

Which fit in the engine bay pretty well

Then the transmission

Finally, here's the hull interior completed:

Thanks for looking

Chris, this is coming together very nicely and offers great potential in opening up the hull.

Very nice.

I have done the turret interior James, including the basket, all the fittings, a new 2pdr breech and a scratched number 11 radio set. I'm getting some of it cast though so I can use it in other builds too.

When it comes back I'll post pics of the finished turret interior, here or if the GB has finished by then, in CC

Just working on the subsidiary MG turret at the moment

All the hatches will be open, plus the main two engine bay hatches and the larger central transmission hatch

Coming along nicely

Do not get me wrong the guys at that museum do a great job seeing they only get AUD$15K pa from the Government towards restoration.

They have a great collection of Grants/Lees, Centurions and Leopards as well as some other gems like the Covenanter Bridgelayer, Vicker Medium, Churchill Crocodile, and an early Cromwell.

Thanks guys,

Fred, pics of the one at Puckapunyal have been very useful, as have the ones Chris Hughes has on his Toadman site of the one at the Military Vehicle Tchnology Foundation

Next job on the interior, after the engine, was to sort out the subturret. A fair amount needed doing on it, but it didn't take too long. The main jobs were to add a bit missing from the underside of the turret; get rid of the 'tabs' and corresponding slots on the hull that hold iot on (otherwise the slots are visible when the turret is in place) add a proper turret ring and traverse mechanism; sort out a sight and modify the besa breech to get the right profile. I also put an RB Model barrel on it

Then I did the last of the driver's controls: engine on switch, various other switches, and bizarrely considering the location, the handbreak apparently! As you can see, I'm also using the Eduard set

Then I painted the interior and took some shots prior to closing it all up:

And here's the turret, minus the radio and 2pdr of course. The difference in colour is down to lighting:

Anyone in the UK going to Trucks and Tracks? I'll be taking this with me
