Hello, Steve

I am building a StuG III and I was wondering if anyone knows of a rear view shot of a LAH StuG IIIs in the west, 1944.

I know you built a LAH StuG III some years ago. Did you find some pics of the LAH marking system for StuG batteries in Normandy?

Please, could you share of photos of your model, manly of the kit rear?

Thanks in advance,
Fabrício

Hi

Here are some shots of mine. The rear markings might have included a 'Dietrich' on the starboard rear fender, and there might have been Stug Batterie rhomboids on the port fenders front and back. I went with this, based on one - not very clear - photo of the wreck in the river in Putanges.

Cheers
Steve

P.S. New to this photo site, so let me know if you can't see the images.

Hi,

Yes, that's the symbol. I don't think the Normandy vehicles had this on them, these photos come from Italy, Sept 1943.

As far as I can see, they just had the Dietrich on the front starboard fender, tac number in the position on my model and almost certainly a Balkankreuz on the rear plate as well.

Cheers
Steve
