I just heard SKIF is releasing the BTR 55 in June.
I was wondering if anyone has any details and who would be a good shop to get this ordered from?
Thanks.

I have no prior knowledge but would suggest that if it turns out to be based on their original T-55 kit, I wouldn't bother.

Paul,

I've built several Skif kits in my time (BMD-1, BMP-3 and MTLB for example) and they weren't bad with a bit of TLC - very thick plastic but well engineered and dimensionally good.

However, for some reason they dropped the ball with their T-55 offering and it was poorly designed and poorly proportioned. Sad really as they could have cleaned up before the Tamiya kit was released...

Regards,
John

Probably referring to the BTR-T as a BTR-55; they can't even get the name right (n/t)

Well it now appears not to be listed on their site.
HobbyEasy is still listing it as a June release.
I will use it as a base kit for that vehicle. Now if only MasterBox would release some modern Russians.
