Hi Everyone,

It would appear that there are no objections to us doing a second Group Build this year, so if you are all up for it please indicate here.

The idea is the build will be for Anti-tank vehicles and artillery, this will be understood to mean tracked, semi-tracked, wheeled or towed weapons that were intentionally and solely designed as anti-tank weaponry. This will rule out field improvisations and 'lash ups'. There is no time limitation, so any era from WWI to present day. So plenty of scope should you all wish to take part.

Well it is up to you all to let your feelings be known and I will be happy to oversee it again. It will run from September to December (approx 16 weeks), so you have a months respite before you would have to decide on your chosen build(s).

All the best,

Paul

I think I know what I'm building (Nashorn & Marder III ?)

but just thinking about things like the Demag with a Pak 38?
& sdkfz 251/22?

also you mentioned Artillery, so would it be more
'Factory built open topped Self Propelled AFV's'
I would not have classified Artillery as Anti-Tank
but if so, would Anti-Aircraft be included too?
thinking Sdkfz 7/2, Sdkfz 10/4?

or were you thinking more on Ken's lines of non turreted Jagd-panzers types?

my head hurts!

Cheers Elliott

...for example the 6 Pdr, and any number of towed Paks

Just because it's towed artillery, doesn't mean it can't have a specialist role
