Hi , I am searching for any info about the markings carried by Military Vehicles used by Australia in WW1 in particular Ambulances and Red ross supply vehicles . Any pointers or web sites my search engine shows up nothing that I can use cheers ian

Hiya

Not sure about ambulance markings per se - will havre to loo, but drop us a mail as a contcat in Australian has sent me British/Australian marking details for sofyskins. Basically, its REg. Number both sides of the bonnet and tailgate, lodaing info and then unit markings.

Colour - eek - up to 1916 "divisional vehicles" were grey, but lots of discussions have produced a concesus that "shades of khaki/green" are Ok for motor transport
