Applying decals to clear plastic

I am working on the Hasegawa Zaxis 135US digger. Not fully assembling just yet, only want to see its overall size for diorama positioning. The clear plastic around the cab has decals on the inside. Anything I should be forewarned about when applying decals to clear plastic? The clear plastic is a glossy surface so, no need for gloss coat preparation. I am a little uneasy about applying gloss over the decals once dry. What affect would gloss coat have on clear plastic?
Sincerely-

Your best bet is to use  Future Pledge acrylic.  It's the 'go to' product for aircraft modelers when dipping their clear plastic canopies.  It works great brushed on too because of it's self leveling properties.  Have a tissue handy to soak up the excess along an edge.

In either case, make sure you are working in a dust free environment.  Also a good idea to cover the piece that has been 'futured' with something like Tupperware to prevent dust settling on it while it dries.

regards,
Jack
