Another puzzle- Sdkfz 251/9 C in Normandy?

I was curious, I have the Afv Club Sdkfz 251/9 C about done and set it in Normandy.  This may be wishful thinking, I have yet to see any photographic evidence of such a vehicle in that campaign. The only possible units I would estimate might be the Panzer Lehr, 9th or 10th SS Panzer Divisions.  I have studied the time frame of the Sdkfz 251/9 C & D arriving to units but it still seems a bit foggy.  -MB

While there were a fair number of 251Cs serving in Normandy, the only possible one that I have found that was in the 251/9 configuration is the following: Uk, 251_9C, captured by 50TT, video, andrewspence, ML1230944393.jpg
I don't recall which thread this was posted in, but it was on Missing-Lynx and was posted by Andrew Spence.  Best I can remember he and/or the program from which this was grabbed stated that this 251/9C was captured by 50th Br. Inf. Div. in France.  If this is true (captured in France, that is), then Panzer Lehr would be the most likely candidate, with 12.SS being the second most likely candidate (in terms of who opposed 50th ID - I haven't made any study of allocations).  I can provide you a copy of the official history of the 50th ID if you want to dive into deeper detail, but I don't have the time to research it at the moment.

Hello there

From the bunch of photos taken around Juaye-Mondaye in the ECPA collection, in this case reproduced in Heimdal's PzLehr history:

Cheers

Sam, Dave, and Sean, you guys are the best!  My best guess was the Panzer Lehr.  Thanks for your great help.  -MB
