Hello fellow modellers!

This is my latest work, specially built and painted for the Inscale.org "Rust & dust" contest.
OOB build except the handles on the turret.
African scene, somewhere in a hot zone...
Hope you like it!

How was the kit to build?I almost bought a Trumpeter T-54B today. The tread on the wheel sidewalls looked oversized.

Looks great Istvan. Can you tell how the T 55 came to grief and rusting away in the desert. I do not see point of inpact from an anti tank weapon so it broke down and was abandonned ?

It's a little fantasy mix vehicle.I saw a lot of pics with many abandoned T-34s and 55s without any battle damage...Lot of them are in habited areas, mostly in villages and towns, left back for the reason of ammo or fuel shortage.
The local people used this tanks as public meeting points, marketplaces and -as I did in my vignette- small landfills.
Some of these tanks are rusty. That's where the idea came from.

Very nice work on the vehicles finish. And how about that donkey. The finish on the donkey is amazing and thoroughly convincing. How many, and what colors did you use to achieve the animals colors?

Beautiful work.

Cheers,
Peter

The trash gives it that little touch of realism!

The donkey is a resin figure.I don't know the manufacturer it was a gift to me from my friend.
The base color on the donkey is a mix of Tamiya XF-59 and Deck Tan.
The brown is Mr. Hobby chocolate brown.
The shades and lights made with artistic oils and the dusty look thanks to the Alclad II flat klear.
