Parker had headed down to dinner late hoping that not many people would be there. He was sort of successful, except that Sawyer was there high as a fucking kite. Not that Parker really cared about him being stoned, after all he was usually Parker’s smoking buddy when he did smoke, but sober Parker found it incredibly annoying. Because Sawyer insisted on talking to him. He spent the entire meal with Sawyer so close he could hear his heartbeat despite the fact that there were only a small number of people and a ridiculous amount of space available. Although what made Parker get up and leave was when his ‘friend’ decided to touch his food. Parker slammed his hand down on Sawyers, “I will break your fucking hand.” Before storming out, leaving a laughing Sawyer behind.

He went back to his room to find it full so he grabbed a bottle of liquor and left. There were few people out and about, most settling down in their common rooms, so he found the whole thing quite peaceful. He had been on edge for days and he thought some fresh air might do him well. He wasn’t exactly an outdoors person, but at times he felt claustrophobic within the stone walls. However as he went to step outside he noticed it was pouring. He sighed and searched for a covered way to stay outdoors and found himself on the bridge. He noticed a shape in the distance. He put the bottle behind his back as he got closer, but recognized Ebony.

They weren’t close, but he had talked to her a number of times before. And while the last thing he wanted to do was spend time with people, she looked far from in the mood to bother him. So he pulled the bottle back out and went to stand next to her, placing his forearms on the railing. “What’s kicking sunshine?” A sarcastic, but friendly greeting. “Care to help me with a problem?” He took the lid off of the bottle and chucked it over the railing, “I seem to have lost the cap and now I need this finished.” He would be perfectly capable of doing it himself, that had sort of been his plan, but he also didn’t want to feel like absolute shit the next day and he had had his only meal ruined, so he lacked any food in his stomach.

He didn’t bother to see if she wanted to be alone, he didn’t really care. Once he decided he wouldn’t hate her company than he wasn’t going to bother wondering about her. If she wanted to be alone she could just walk off. He had certainly done that to people numerous times in the past.

Why was she doing this to herself? Clearly Ebony was a masochist or else she would never let herself lurk around the quidditch pitch. The pitch left her with painful feelings and memories, having to quit the team because of her father and then of course there was Gavin, whom was now flying around the pitch with a few kids and hadn't noticed her watching. She could feel the pains in her chest as she watched him, remembering the pain she caused him. Besides she was with Shawn right now and Shawn made her happy. He helped her forget.

Shaking her head she turned and left the pitch needing to get away from the castle for a bit. Caleb was mad at her and rightfully so, she had already met with her father and didn't want to see him again, Logan was busy with Hannah and Shawn was studying in his dorm which left her with some much needed alone time, even if she didn't necessarily want to be alone. Tucking her hands into her jacket pockets she wandered around the grounds for a bit before finding herself at the bridge. 'Just in time too.' she thought to herself as the heavens opened up and rain began to pour. 'Guess I'll be staying here for awhile.'

She leaned against the railing for a few moments her long straight hair blowing around her face and neck. Soon though she heard footsteps and turned her head to see Parker walking onto the bridge. She watched her curiously as he walked closer, her eye spying the bottle in his hand. Ebony scoffed out a laugh as he rid himself of the bottle cap watching as it made its long decent down below them. "Sure, I'm never one to turn down the offering of booze." Ebony was slowly becoming an alcoholic with the way she had been drinking lately. Maybe after graduation she'd think about joining an AA group but reconsidered it quickly. AA was for quitters.

Grabbing the bottle from his hand she brought it up to her lips and took a long drag off of it enjoying the burn it created.. Turning around she leaned her back against the rail and let her head fall back out from under the covering feeling the rain hit her face and sighed. Bringing her eyes back up to meet his she drank a bit more before handing him the bottle back. "Hiding from the masses as well?" she asked trying to strike some form of conversation. things would get weird quick if they just stood and drank in silence the entire time.

Parker had a large tolerance for people because frankly he hated most of them. Although his hate was kept so close to him on most occasions he often came off as quite friendly. Unattached, carefree, but friendly. There were only a handful of things in the world that he truly cared about. Demi, being the first and foremost. Blood purity, although he actually kept it quite hush hush. Most people guessed his ambitions by his name and he never really felt the need to express those feelings. And his family. Although if they got in his way he was known to lose it at them. His Parents never really seemed to mind that, although his siblings rarely talked to him. That was why, when presented with the opportunity to waste some time with a borderline stranger, he had no issue. Hell, it was probably better than whatever the fuck he was going to do.

“Then you are a very smart girl.” Never dismiss free booze. Parker had never had any issue getting his hands on the stuff, but he still could appreciate that mindset. His lips cracked into a smile, he was being friendly, but his use of girl almost sounded condescending. Like he was the older student not the younger one. He didn’t mean for things to come out like that, they just did.

She grabbed the bottle and he watched her drink. Drinking straight from the bottle was kind of something that caught his attention. Even if there was no other option. He found himself wishing he did drink with Demi…ever really. “Naw. I don’t really believe in hiding.” He chuckled. Parker spoke softly, but there was still a glimmer in his eyes. Even a little joke hinting at his rather confrontational disposition excited him. It had been to long since he had gotten to really act out. He missed it if he was being honest.

“You’re going to have to drink a hell of a lot more than that if we hope to finish the bottle.” His house was full of the children of Death Eaters. Names and faces he had at least had a notion of growing up. Ebony was possibly the one he knew the least about however. He had heard more rumors about her than actual facts, but they peaked his curiosity. He was a curious boy. Not in academics, hell if he didn’t have to attend school he wouldn’t, but in people. Knowledge was power when it came to people. And even if he held no ill will towards anyone in particular, it was important in his wicked little mind.

“What about you? Do you like standing by yourself in the rain?” He grabbed the bottle gently and took a swig before setting it on the railing. One hand loosely holding onto it to keep it balanced. “It’s rather picturesque if you ask me.” He fancied girls did that, things that simply make them look or feel pretty. Even in a sad way. He knew that was shallow, and was sure that was not the case, but he liked to believe it to be so. It was a beautiful sign of immaturity on his part.
