I guess Saskatchewan isn't having a lot of luck with this stuff.
I'm of two minds on this. On the one hand, I think you sometimes need a little humility and try to work your way back up the ladder. On the other, running backs' shelf lives are incredibly short compared to a lot of other positions so I could see why he would be impatient and not want to be tied to a two-year deal. That said, the CFL is usually pretty amenable to finding ways to work things out in the offseason for players that get NFL offers. I think he's being a little too literal.
I guess he's banking on the idea of some team running on empty six games in and calling? I mean, if you didn't cut it in Cleveland, I don't know how optimistic you can be that you'll be getting such a phone call any time soon...
