Hamilton might not hit is body weight

Someone on ESPN apparently made the comment that he would have 100 stolen bases this year.
You have to be on base in order to accomplish that.

Not so sure he will have 100 opportunities.
Boy did he look lost.

"Joey's problem is his, uh, workout regimen, nutritional eh, supplemation changed since he signed his big contract. Anyone catch my drift?

I remember after Ryan Braun got suspended he was asked if anyone talked to him or reached out to him and Braun said that Votto had. When asked by a reporter about the conversation, Joey adamantly denied speaking to him. LMAO.
"

Interesting, I haven't heard that but its something I may wonder about if he doesn't improve

Joey Votto's problem is that he costs too much.

Oh, and he needs to start taking steroids so this club can have a real clean up hitter for a change so he can earn his keep.

I have the game on and it's in the 5th and no score. Unbelievable that only 1 run between the two teams has been scored in 14 innings. As far as Hamilton - he might steal 1st if he strikes out and the catcher doesn't throw him out at 1st. That may be his only option against the good teams.

I have not watched a single pitch yet.... just not into this year. I am simply not feeling it with this lineup. Never really been fan of Votto and I last year concerns me. Bruce is too streaky like the rest of the hitters. Pitching is somewhat decent...... we'll see...

With Tiger out out of the Masters next weekend is shot for me

Great pitching on both sides of the dugout in the first two games.

Hiesey the guy everyone loves to hate on, delivers again last night.
lol

I think this year will be exactly like last year.
2 of the best teams in baseball are in the same division with an option for a 3rd.

Votto...
The best pure hitter in baseball.
I don't understand the desire to blast on the guy.

Some of you guys are stuck on the Roid era numbers.

The lineup is pretty solid.

We are only talking about 2 games here.
If they are still averaging 3 or less runs a game in June...
Then they have a problem.

The reason they rag on Votto is because he does not drive in runs like they expect. Driving in runs is his job because no one else on the team can except maybe Phillips.

Losing Choo was a blow to their offense. So in my mind you essentially have the same team that blew game 1 against the Pirates last year minus Choo. In addition, their good players are just getting older, not really better. I'm not sure how they are expected to do better than last year. I suppose management thinks the problem lies with the manager.

Votto hasn't been the same since his knee injury - just like Palmer wasn't the same after his injury. The bottom of the Reds have some real weak hitters and with the absence of a bonafide leadoff hitter - I think this team will be weaker than last year and everyone else except the Cubs will be better. Like I said - 4th place.

Hamilton should come around.. He is pressing. Look at how may pitches he is taking compared to someone like Philiips who is a very patient hitter.
