There's gonna be lousy deads pitching forever. Deads pitching prospects over the past few years haven't panned out, from Stevenson to Travieso to Howard to Cody Reed to Amir Garrett, the list goes on and on. If the last few years are any indication then the Deads are likely gonna have lousy pitching for the long haul.

I may have said this before...I heard Castellini and Mikey were lunch buddies - perhaps trading their management techniques together. If that's the case - it shows.

What's sad is for the past 27 years the Reds have been just as disappointing as the Bungs. In the past 27 years they've had maybe 5 good years, '95, '99, 2010, 2012 and 2013, and the majority of those years they didn't even win a playoff series. The Reds are losers just like the Bungs and this organization has become Bungs-like as I've said before, can't draft, can't develop players, front office ineptitude, the similarites are too many.

Castellini has made a good Mikey-impression since taking over, unfortunately... ownership tenure loaded with incompetence from beginning. failed to fire Dusty/Jocketty before they could waste a couple postseason efforts & now bad draft selections, contracts have/will doom/hinder this small market for years to come. Good Luck.

Yeah, I wonder how that conversation goes...probably something like this:

Castellini: Hey Mike, I was thinking about bringing back the Big Red Machine players from the 76 Team this week...what do you think?

Brownstain: Sounds lucrative. How much do they want for the appearance?

Castellini: Overall, I'm going to end up paying $$$$$$$$ for that.

Brownstain: Choking on his fish stick

Castellini: heimlich maneuver coming right up.

Brownstain: cough cough thanks...can I blow you in the bathroom for saving my life?

Castellini: Maybe tonight when you get home sweetie.

Or something like that.
