Well, the Pittsburgh Stealers decided to pull a disloyal move to loyal Stealer James Harrison. Apparently he complained they didn't play him enough, so they cut him...right before the playoffs. Guess who signed him? Only their biggest playoff rival. The New England Patriots signed him. Now he will be able to tell the Patriots the Stealers playbook. He practiced against Ben - he knows the Stealers offense. He played for the Stealers defense - he'll be able to tell Tom Brady and Josh McDaniels all their secrets. What a dumb move by the Stealers. After all the years Harrison gave them, you wouldn't think they would cut him prior to a Super Bowl run. You'd think they let him serve out the year. Oh well. Revenge is a dish best served cold. This will be fun for the rest of us to watch, though, assuming they both make it to the AFC Championship of course.

It seemed like destiny that Harrison would get re-signed during the Steelers playoff run and get to take a final shot at a Super Bowl ring. Good for Bill Belichick for putting the kibosh to all that.

So Harrison b*tched one time too many. You know...how don't you play the guy when Shazier goes out?

I just don't get that. So the guy is older and probably lost a step. I pin this one on Tomlin just because. Tomlin is a horrible coach "trapped" in a greatly managed environment. What a lucky f*cking turd.

Not only does the Patriots pick up somebody from a team that slighted him. He's gonna give up the playbook and play harder against a team that they could be playing in Gillette Field next month. Whispers in the ears of coaches and management will help.

Add in the fact New England is depleted of LB'ers and defense.

Once again. Awesome move by Robert Kraft and his staff.

I think that the "loyalty" narrative is a funny one. Bengals fans complain that their team is too loyal, but the team being shrewd [and allegedly disloyal] has 6 Superbowl wins and is in the short list of favorties again.

As for him not playing with Shazier injured, that kind of speaks volumes as to just how useless Harrison is at this age. No doubts Belichick will pick his brain, but Bengals fans questioning a Steelers personell move just seems insane. I get that this isn't exactly keeping Maleuga VA releasing Maleuga, but talent wise at this point it isn't THAT much different.

True NE might have gotten the playbook on defense but Pitt has over a month to make changes and modifications. I'm sure they took that into consideration before they let Harrison go.

There is a headline regarding this on ESPN that Harrison forced his way out. His former teammates are blasting him which in the era of union players typically sticking together rarely happens. I figured from his two years in Cincy but he must really be an ahole.

But back to the original topic this move seems to be galvanizing the Steelers and has them defending their GM and owner. When was the last time that MB needed or deserved being defended by his players?
