Is there any reason to be intrigued over a slightly smaller, weaker-armed version of Andy Dalton? I have no idea whether 7th rounder Logan Woodside will make the team or not, but look at how similar his game is to Dalton's. Last season after Lazor took over as OC, Dalton was getting rid of the ball pronto before before the defense tore his head off. That's exactly what Woodside had to do for Toledo.

If he does make the team, it won't be like it was with AJ McCarron, as Woodside isn't projected to be a future starter. That's probably exactly what the Bungs brain trust wants. (Not that they would have ever started McCarron over Dalton barring injury, but some of the fans thought they might.)

I think he'll make the practice squad at the least but the bungs still need a reasonably good backup.   In as much as the bungs didn't fully address the OL deficiencies they are still skating on thin ice.  The excuse given was that at that point in the draft the bungs were in in the later rounds there were no OL available that they wanted so they went heavy on defense.
