Can't see the clown and Marvin giving up on Dalton, but there has been some rumblings.

That doesn't make sense to me as McCarron would logically be the next man up.

seems like a silly idea.

what they ought to be doing is kicking the tires on every f**king free agent OL they can find... but that would involve Mike Brown not being a cheap lazy bastard.
===============================================
1991-2017 the putrid reign of Mikey Brown:
Record in Prime Time: 12 wins, 33 losses (0.267)
Record vs the Steelers: 14 wins, 42 losses (0.250)
Record vs AFC Playoff Teams: 32 wins, 116 losses (0.216)

Let the animals run the zoo and do it! If they're going to lose, then go all out!

Kaepernick probably would've participated here:

One quick question - are there any FA OL out there worth looking at? True a QB like Kaepernick would work but still with the OL the bungs have I don't think any QB would work. I bet if Tom Brady came here he would be knocked out in 2 weeks.

Someone's going to relent and Kaepernick will end up somewhere but it won't be the Bengals. Felons are one thing. But anthem-sitters, Mr. Brown cannot abide.

WPBFO is right, the biggest mission should be to try to rescue the OL, but that ain't happenin' either.

Honestly, the real mission should be to trade AJ Green if someone offers a haul (but ONLY if someone offers a haul) and otherwise quietly tank the season and build the whole thing up again in the offseason with new coaching and management. Again, this is assuming this was a normal, functional franchise.

Again, the only people who see McCarron as anything other than backup QB fodder are the sheople, 'Bama fans, Hue Jackson, and family members of McCarron. So while personally I do not see Kaepernick as a good fit for what I expect Lazor's offense to be, that doesn't mean that Kaepernick would not be the best or second best qb if he were on the roster today. Skill wise it is probably Pop gun 1, kneely mckneelerson 2, and son of a milf a distant third. Fit though it is probably son of a milf 2 and the kneeler 3. Regardless not a great situation to be in, and sometimes intangibles are worth more than skill (see Brian Hoyer or Ryan Fitzpatrick wherever they go).

I hate to say it but the only way things would change if Lewis either retired or dies. I hope Lewis throws up his hands if the bungs have the season I think will happen - 3-13 or worse and leaves but I wonder who mikey would get. The bungs are still regarded as a joke despite their futile playoff experiences and mikey is not regarded as a great owner to work for - in other worde this place the bungs is regarded as Siberia and is basically blackballed by top line coaches either at the collegiate or pro level.

Certain folks out there will bring up Kaepernick at every opportunity. This is more about Mike Florio being Mike Florio than anything else.
