Well, on Jan. 3rd I was bringing groceries in from the car when I slipped on the ice and broke my femur and my humerus. I spent 4 days in the hospital then 4 weeks in rehab. I'm home now and I can walk again (sort of.)
But that's only part of the story. As I was laying on the driveway unable to get up and yelling for help my pit bull "Blaze" did something remarkable. He laid on top of me and kept me from freezing to death until my neighbor came home and heard me. I feel like nominating him for a hero dog award. Anyway, I'm back with the help of some vicious, tear inducing, Nazi physical therapists, my wonderful wife and a big brown dog. :-)
What the hell are we going to do with you, JB? Wasn't it just a few years back that you broke your hip? Is that how it goes -- retire and your bones immediately go fragile? Geezy Petes!
Seriously, though, glad to have you back, and sorry to hear about your bad breaks. Hang on to that dog, too. Although, you know, wrapping yourself in bubble wrap might be cheaper. No vet bills.
BTW, how do you like the new forum?
