I'm not arguing Palmer is better than Dalton (though again: thus far, he's gone farther). I'm asking: why the bile? If he "only had one good season at USC" and thus shouldn't have been elevated to the status he was, doesn't it behoove you more to hate Mike for drafting him (and make no mistake, that was a Mike Brown call)?
As far as Carson re-signing and then leaving: that put the screws to Mike and forced him to change (at least a little) far more than playing out the string on the first contract and leaving. *Isn't that kind of the whole purpose of this website?* One of the few people to look Mike Brown in the eyes and make him blink and you want to vilify him? Baffles me.
