Looking at the Bengals schedule they have enough tough games and division games that they could easily stumble into an 0-6 start, with some bad luck maybe they can be bad enough for Lewis to finally get fired about a decade too late.

Last year the Bungs went 6-9-1.

A game and a half was directly attributable to their field goal kicking woes. So imagine 8-8.

Injuries to both Tyler Eifert and AJ Green had to cost them at least one more game. Now think 9-7.

The Vontaze Burfict suspension and the front-loaded schedule had to hurt. Throw in all the unfamiliarity with the new defensive coaches and maybe an additional win was possible beyond that.

So the Bungs were not too far off from being a highly-flawed 10-6 team, the kind that gets completely obliterated in the first round of the playoffs. (Cripes, I'll take the season they actually had over that.)

But anyway, the Bungs supposedly have something to work with. The defense looked pretty good the second half of the season and now they've added speed. John Ross and Joe Mixon should turbo charge the offense.

Katie and gents, all they need is for that rebuilt O-line to miraculously take a giant step forward. Then lookout, the sky's the limit...

Well, we all know that ain't gonna happen. This is a team that flashes potential but breaks down at all the key moments. A miserable year is in store for the sheep.

Final record: 7-9.

Ah yes the old dead cat bounce winning meaningless games late in the season. Need to have the sheep thinking "we've turned the corner". This happened a lot during the lost decade of the '90's and I suspect it will happen again. But we can all look forward to seeing the Pats and Steelers in the AFC final with NE winning again. One big UGH to not only the bungs season but that championship scenario playing out.
