I'm trying to get MenuetOS run under Parallels (OS X 10.8.3, MacBook Pro). I mounted MenuetOS as floppy image and it's working pretty good. I edited the CONFIG.MNT so I can use MenuetOS with full screen resolution. I'm quite happy so far. But there are two things that would make me happier : )
1. Network driver
Parallels uses the Realtek 8029 network card, I even got Windows 3.11 run with it, but not MenuetOS. When I open the Stack Status window, it says that the Ethernet card status is set to 0x00000000. That's strange, because I set it in the CONFIG.MNT to 0x00000001. The Drivers window says that the status of the NE2000 network card is not initialized. Anyone who has experiences with Parallels and MenuetOS?
2. Menuet CD
Well, I downloaded the CD image, but I have no idea how I can mount it with MenuetOS. I suppose all the menu entries (games > hd/cd) have something to do with the CD image. I tried mounting the image as CD with Parallels, I also set hd_1_enabled and cd_1_enabled to 0x000001 in the config file. How do I get access to the CD in MenuetOS?
Thanks in advance,
Looks like no one has an idea, what I can do.
Strange is that the network seems to be disabled even I set the ethernet card status to 0x00000001 in the config file. Does anyone knows why? Has anyone else this problem? Is there a possibility to check what went wrong while initialising the ethernet card? Is there a logfile or something?
