The Krogan Battle Hammer is brand new, so it is still in the General Discussion thread about the new DLC. As for Heavy Melee, you can find it in the Combat Rules for Attacking.

Ballistic Blades seems a little odd to me. If I am understanding it correctly, it fire a salvo of blades a certain distance, which then somehow affect all within the radius around the area they are fired too. Unless I am wrong then that is incredibly weird and doesn't make much logical sense.

In the case that I am right, wouldn't it be easier to have them fire in a cone? From my (admittedly limited) experience with the power this is how it always seemed to work...

I went back and reviewed both the power as described in the wiki and the videos and I really can't find the reason as to why I converted the power as it is... Ok, in the videos it is hard to distinguish whether it is a cone or not, and most of the times it does seem they can fire the blades to have a point of origin a away from the character. And in the general description it doesn't state it is a cone... until the rank 4 which clearly states "Increase cone spread by 20 degrees"... I really don't know why in the hell I didn't figured out it was a cone..
I will correct it immediately. Thanks for clarifying this Lycaon ;)

Maybe if you got a copy for the 360 and rode the Scourge Murdertrain, my devilishly handsome, [insert long string of over-the-top-presumptuous compliments here] friend.

Just checking, do any of these benefits from the basic specialization do anything for you while your shields are up, or is it something you activate when the shields go down?

Ah, sorry. I never mentioned I was asking about Blade Armor. If I activate this power while I still have shields, do I get the benefits then, or only when my shields go down? Does the DR bonus apply to shields, plating, or just armor? If my shields are up and I punch someone, do I get the bonus damage? And does damage get reflected while my shields are up?

The bonus provided is regardless of whether or not the character has shields. And the DR provided is applied to any existing HP pool. So yes, you can have Shield HP and gain all the benefits from this power, including damage bonus to melee attacks and damage reflection

Does Blade Armor only reflect the amount of damage that affects your Health , Plating, or Shield HP? Or does it reflect the amount of the actual attack roll?

Basically does your own DR reduce the amount reflected?

Blade Armor reflects the damage suffered, after DR is applied

Hello again. I had a couple of questions with regards to these powers and how they pertain to playing a Batarian character.

1. Why is there a Knowledge(Physics) requirement on both of these? While the Batarian Brawler has it as a class skill, it becomes an issue when trying to play a Batarian Enforcer (Soldier) like the one from ME:3. Additionally, what makes Blade Armor so different from Tech Armor that the requirement would be effectively higher? Both are limited to a race (Blade Armor) or class (Tech Armor), but one is harder to get access to.

2. On the note of Blade Armor, why are submachine guns the only weapon to receive a recoil benefit. Neither the Batarian Brawler or Soldier have proficiency the weapon and would be the most likely to get these abilities. Why not, instead, a flat recoil reduction (albeit smaller) or with a more common weapon like a pistol or assault rifle?

Both powers have Physics as prerequisites because both powers thematically require a knowledge of physics and how to alter some effect. The blades launch something, out of thin air, that needs to deal with gravity. The armor reverts part of the force applied by a melee attack. A batarian soldier can easily select a feat to gain that skill as a class skill. And yes, there are powers that some classes have a harder time to acquire, but then those classes have other advantages or easier access to other powers.

As for that 'submachine gun' benefit, it shouldn't even be there. It was a copy-paste error. Will remove it entirely.

Thanks :)
