Re: Artist Editions Discussion thread (IDW, Dark Horse, etc)

Scott's Page is awesome although he keeps costing me money on books I don't think I need until I see his reviews. A Scott on Scott interview would be great. If you get a chance to arrange this between you please do. BTW thanks Mr Dunbier on your recommendation of My Favourite Thing is Monsters. An i...

Re: Artist Editions Discussion thread (IDW, Dark Horse, etc)

Spawn Vault Edition has arrived. Preordered day one. Signed but not a notorized or hand sketch variant. Printed on similar stock to IDW AE books. Only thumbed through but initial thoughts: Hate the cover. The graphic design on the IDW and DC books is far better. There is a slight variance in inked b...

<t>Todd shared a video to Facebook showing him signing and working on a headsketch for the Spawn book. He's handsigning all books on a tip in with an printed image of The Violater. 250 of these will be stamped as authentic by a notary. 15 will be Remarqued with a hand sketch and only one will have a...

The price at FP in the UK was the best price I've seen for a twice up AE.

I might buy it later on if anybody can get stock once the rush has died down.

<t>A thousand apologies Scott but I last month I did finally pick up Marvel Covers Modern Era and Williamson Empire Strikes Back. Both were beyond superlatives. Todd Mac is an odd one. I was a teen in the early 90s and him, Jim Lee and Whilce Portacio were a big part of my comic buying then. Never r...

BTW a Ditko with ASM33 in would be a day one preorder for me. I love that book and the famous sequence under the machine. To own a quality reprint of that original art would be a dream.

<t>You have a point but from the beginning (well Romita Spidey) I was so impressed with the format I bought them all. There were some lovely surprises like Kuberts Tarzan or the Mad AE that thrilled me whilst the EC, wood, daredevil and Spidey AEs I knew what to expect and they delivered on that. Th...

<t>Just a look at Retro Randy blog gives an idea of how Idw have pumped up their output on these. So many books in such a short release period.<br/> <br/> I'd like the scrooge volumes but can't afford to buy them as an ongoing series. I'll buy S.W as it has personal nostalgic value. Out of the other...

<t>I have to be honest. The magic was wearing thin. I've been spending free cash on Mondo prints, hot toys figs and sideshow pfs and after the disappointment of the Schultz AE I found my interest waning. I had the Steranko on preorder but a large unexpected household bill meant I had to cancel it. I...
