Doctor Strange and Clea marry each other in Doctor Strange (1988) #3, which is collected in the new Omnibus.

Extrano? Yikes.  I thought DC was trying to forget the New Guardians and the whole Hemo-Goblin.  Not one of DC's better days...

Re: Reading the Rebirth - DC comics post Rebirth and beyond (spoilers)

Right, there's basically been two "hard" reboots -- the original Crisis in 1986 and Flashpoint in 2011.  Most of the events in-between made "soft" changes to try and fix continuity issues or correct bad editorial decisions, with Zero Hour and Infinite Crisis being the most significant "fixes" to the...

Re: New Mutants the (horror) movie

I can't remember a movie that was delayed this late in the game, by that much time, that ended up being really great. Weird. Cabin in the Woods and World War Z are the two most relevant ones since they're in the same genre.  But Titanic and Bourne Identity are probably the most famous ones, outside...

Re: Golden Age Superman Omni line is NOT ending

Yeah, if only I liked the Omnibus format.  But the cheap cases crack on the spines as you read them and can't prevent the pages from sagging on the shelf.  Also not a fan of the thin paper.  Meanwhile, I have twenty-five year old Archives that I've repeatedly read that look like I just took them out...

Re: Netflix PUNISHER TV Show Discussion

Yeah, but the strongest gut-punch in the series is the confession in Episode 12, which doesn't work without Madani.  The writers could easily have gone in a different (safer) direction with this, but I give them credit for willingly compromising Frank's character in this way.

Re: Golden Age Superman Omni line is NOT ending

Thanks for the info.  I don't think I can justify the high expense for only 7 books :( Really urks me how these new books don't align with the Archives.  I also think they should have gone with year labels (i.e. 1942-1943) instead of volume numbers.  I want to support them, but my enthusiasm is so ...

Re: Netflix PUNISHER TV Show Discussion

Finally finished!  Yes, it's a slow, plodding series, but it's methodical, well-acted and gripping at times.  After the disappoint of Iron Fist and the Defenders, it was good to see Netflix bounce back with this series that I'd rank second only to Daredevil.  I may be in the minority here, but I lov...

Re: Justice League Zero Hour

Disagree. Zero Hour ran the same month that the much hyped Phalanx Convenant X-Men X-Over happened and the launch of the infamous Clone Saga. Of the three, Zero Hour was the only one that delivered on all levels, especially given how Marvel explicitly gouged the hell out of X-Men and Spider-Man fan...

Re: Justice League Zero Hour

Yeah, Zero Hour was such a massive disappointment when it came out.  Instead of "fixing" continuity, it just made things worse and the JSA and Hal Jordan related events just alienated more readers.
