Re: Rick Veitch's Maximortal Returns

Veitch claims that the original bits and ending will be supplemental material in the new edition. Looks like I'm going in for a fourth dip on this one, since I have the original serialized series, S/L HC and a TPB.......However, the King Hell Heroica is a series I don't mind supporting over and over...

Probably the only Marvel product I'd be interested in at this point.

Re: New Marvel Conan

All this chat about Conan has seriously piqued my re-interest in the title. While my original issues (I bought it until right after the Neal Adams issue) are in some buried box in a closet I have a hard time getting to, I do have the Essential volume close at hand which I've pulled down and am now s...

Re: What Film Have You Watched Recently?

I purposely use 'saw' for every occasion so one can't easily deduce how or where I saw the film! Also, posting in this forum can make it doubly confusing since 'watched' is in the title....a double negative or positive....I leave it to you to ponder!

Re: New Marvel Conan

All I want out of this news is a Barry Smith Omnibus of Conan, since I only look at the pictures and have never been able to follow any of the adventures due to my own issues with Swordandsorcelexia. After that I just want to watch you fellas debate the methodology....so far, so fun!

Re: Any recent news on a new Wally Wood - Sally Forth collection?

The tabloids I ain't binding. The Eros issues were all a buck each so I had no qualms setting needle and thread to them, and I agree that the Eros issues are a mess, but to be honest, I think the Sally stories are too, by comparison to Cannon, which I think is perhaps Wood's finest solo achievement ...

Re: Any recent news on a new Wally Wood - Sally Forth collection?

I took matters into my own hands, for no better reason than I picked up 2 runs of Cannon and a run and a half of Sally Forth (EROS Comix singles) and sort of created a place holder of my own until the official version gets done.....note the box of kleenex, at no extra charge!!!! Re: Advice on Robert Crumb Collections

I've had the original French version for many years now. I believe IDW just rearranged the English text from the back of the original and modified it into the body of their reprint. I think it's a terrific overview of Crumb's output and there were quite a few pieces I hadn't seen before. I highly re...

Re: Obituaries: The Interesting, the Infamous, the Obscure

RIP Jerry Van Dyke. You entertained many and felt like one of the neighbors. His four Dick Van Dyke Show episodes were some of the best of the run. And also, he apparently turned down the role of Gilligan for My Mother The Car. Honestly, I think that was a wash. Bad in the short term, good in the l...
