Re: Black Panther movie

How can your kid learn the difference between right and wrong if you shelter them from the very idea of what wrong is? You're afraid to show them Adventures In Babysitting because they might go to school and say "homo"? If they do and they get in trouble they will learn their lesson. Getting in tro...

Re: Artist Editions Discussion thread (IDW, Dark Horse, etc)

Frankly, I think it would be cool to see all the 3D material with all the elements, and/or layers! Now there's a novel use of AE like we've not seen previously! EC for me, see!

Re: Are there plans for a Richard Corben Collection?

So I pulled out Bloodstar last night and gave it the once over it hasn't received from me in recent years, taking the afore mentioned comments to heart. I can see why it would be "up there" in the rankings of Corben recommendations, but for me it's still a solid fourth at best, in my list. I admit, ...

Re: Are there plans for a Richard Corben Collection?

My favorites would be, starting with where I got my first taste...Underground Comix (especially Skull #6 which was the novel length story 'A Gothic Tale', part one by Greg Irons and part 2 by Corben, written by Tom Veitch). Collections include the 3 Catalan Underground volumes, RC's Funnybook and th...

Re: Movies you like that "no one" else does

The movie by Friedkin that is tough to see is one he made titled "Rampage:. It is exists in two cuts, both done by Friedkin, as he changed his mind about the legal system and capital punishment. It is based on the true crime story of Richard Chase, the Sacramento vampire killer. Both are interesting...

Re: Movies you like that "no one" else does

I saw the Exorcist 2 in the cinema at the time and I quite liked it, bu then again, I can watch Richard Burton in practically anything. Speaking of Friedkin (sort of), there seems to be some kind of mystery/controversy concerning 'Cruising' as it never seems to be shown on TV and I don't think it h...

Wizard has some fun features. I've only played a few games on that.
Well...since I tried to bring this thread back on course with Tilt and failed...how about a little Firepower!

Re: Movies you like that "no one" else does

A fun side note (maybe)... I hate the song "Pinball Wizard". Really it's an OK song but I'm a slightly serious pinball player (own machines, in a league, compete in tournaments) and that stupid song is everywhere. Kind of like a girl being named Angie in the 70's. People are always mentioning Pinba...

Re: Movies you like that "no one" else does

Son Of Dracula (1974) Another one that took me forever to track down before the internet came along. I recall only hearing bad things about it, but there was a ton of imagery from the film on picture sleeves of 45's to albums featuring my beloved Harry Nilsson...which was my main reason for tracking...

Re: Movies you like that "no one" else does

There are a couple of very early films of his that are lovely, I am trying to remember the names but I will have to look them up. I think Savage Messiah is a terrific film that gets sort of lost in the Russell shuffle, and be the film of his after The Devils that I revisit the most. I don't think i...
