Re: Which Runs Should Be Evergreen But Aren't?

While Marel has had some memorable runs within series, they really don't have many seminal works like DC does. Nothing in the Marvel canon stands up to Watchmen, V for Vendetta or even Miller's first Dark Knight turn. A large part of it is that Marvel's almost all  in continuity stories where DC per...

Re: The Epic collection: What's been released, what's planned, what's left

So I'm reading through Moon Knight Epics, and I'm wondering if anyone's 'mapped' this out, how far you think they'll go? Here's how I mapped it out through the end of the century: Volume 3:  #24-#38 Volume 4:  Divided We Fall, Fist of Konshu #1-#6, Marc Spector #1-#10, Marvel Fanfare #30 & #38, Sol...

You're speaking to the choir, bro. https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/jm-dematteis-omnibus-collection We just cross our fingers :) Surprised that if some of the creators involved gave their thumbs-up, Marvel editorial didn't greenlight this. This is the of my most wanted Spider-Man material alongs...

Re: Questions for Cory Sedlmeier

If it's not too late.
1)  Can you give us a little insight into the deal cut with Conde Nast/Dynamite that allowed you to finally bring Doc Savage appearances  into the Marvel Masterworks series?
2) Are there any thoughts or plans to bring some of the long sold out Silver Age Omnibus back into print?

Re: Bye Bye Bendis - signs exclusive deal with DC

Bendis' better days are definitely behind him at Marvel. I'm hoping all the damage he's done to the Iron Man mythos gets undone after his departure.
Like Romita, Jr, I have no interest what so ever to see what he does at DC.

Re: What is your favorite format to collect your collected editions?

These days, I prefer Omnibus for the Silver Age materials because of the slightly oversized pages and the inclusion of the letters pages. I started reading comics when I was 4 in the mid 60's and the letters pages are 100% important to putting me back in a much simpler and admittedly,  happier time....

Re: Tarzan by John Buscema

Didn’t a similar thing happen in regard to the Doc Savage Archives book that collects all the seventies Curtis/Marvel black and white magazines? My recollection is that it did.  I we did get that book in the end and it was excellent.  The difference here is that the Doc Savage book actually was sol...

I asked Chris Ryall and he said that it was very expensive to license the material from Marvel and that unless sales went up on volume 4, it was the last one for the foreseeable future.

For many books, the discount wasn't nearly as steep as previous sales.
And most of the good stuff is gone already, so if your LCS didn't order by now, you're out of luck.

I'm still curious as to the deal that let's Marvel reprint Doc Savage, but keep them referring to him by name and from posting preview images.

Wow...two Masterworks for me in as many months.

Re: Mighty Thor Omnibus 3

Happy with contents of this one. Never understood why people would want less issues (although once you get to 2000 pages I imagine getting the book off the shelf and open might be problematic). Will we see an FF Omnibus 4? Pretty sure we'll get a Spidey 4 as it has Gwen being topped and Punisher fi...
