Hell, even if it wasn't a full story. Just the pages. The pages-!
I'd like a New Gods AE.

Just had an email stating that The Spirit is pushed back until end of August 2012. I reckon with the pair due soon and then Tarzan and Jack Davis, we may not see The Spirit until 2013!!!!
Until this update, the expected release date of the Will Eisner Artist's Edition was smack-dab in the middle of a planned family vacation. Even though I've preordered it through my LCS, after the mad rush for the Wood A.E., I wasn't 100% sure if there'd still be a copy for me upon my return from vacation, and so I was contemplating a mid-week drive home to snag the Eisner A.E.. Thus, the new August date sets my addled mind at ease (my sympathies to those disappointed by the delay).

Any new news on a definitive date for the Daredevil: Born Again Artist's Edition? Maybe that aforementioned vacation isn't a done-deal yet!

DD already shipping from IDW. Some guys on twitter talking about it and posting pics. Interesting to see rumours that Simm is tracking down his art...potential Cerebus A.E in the future?

Sim is in the process of digitizing Cerebus.  I suspect it's in relation to that.

While Sim has not used the Artists Edition terminology he is thinking about an original art sized hardcover - excerpt below is from one of the Kickstarter backer updates...

Assuming that we're looking at A full-size 11x17 hardcover at some future date (which I think we are: ONE hardcover. If I say all of them are going to be hardcovers then I'm stuck doing that even if they prove not to be financially viable, something I'm not going to know if HIGH SOCIETY is the first one since it's the most popular.  It would be the equivalent of doing a Blu-Ray bells and whistles version of PET SOUNDS and then saying "Wow! We can do the whole Beach Boys catalogue and get indescribably wealthy!"  No, PET SOUNDS is going to sell the best. It's the Beach Boys album non-Beach Boys fans are likely to want just because it's a classic.) then a logical choice is RICK'S STORY because Sandeep and I decided to scan it at 1200 dpi on the theory that if you max out the dpi you're covered for any eventuality.  Which is true in a way but it's also overkill.  At most we'll do full-size books the same size as the art 11x17.  It's not likely that we would make them into highway billboards.  I opted for 300 dpi because that's what we use on glamourpuss and glamourpuss has the tiniest lines of any of my work.  If Sandeep can get that scanning at 300 dpi as grayscale and then coverting to a bitmap and tweaking the brightness and contrast -- (I know, no one believes that works but trust me as the artist with the fine lines: he did and DOES, consistently) -- then he can get any CEREBUS art detail which is a step down in terms of fine lines (up to about RICK'S STORY, anyway, where it can definitely give glamourpuss a run for her money -- one of the reasons that "the play's on RICK'S STORY".

Although I picked up the Wally Wood A.E. in the mad rush a few months ago, I've been following with interest this posting from amazon.ca:
,
http://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0 ... ooks%2C193

Any bets on whether or not it'll materialize for sale on Amazon in the posted date of two days hence?

This was covered before.  According to Dunbier, this is a mistake and the books won't be available directly from Amazon, US or otherwise, except from third-party sellers.

While I agree with leveret1 that this will not be showing up at Amazon keep in mind that Amazon Canada DID recently have for sale all three Krazy Kat HC omnis including volume 2 which was OP with Fantagraphics at the time. So strange things do happen.

Taking a gamble on this to get a second copy for a cheaper price has no real downside if you don't get your hopes up. If it doesn't ship there is no cost, Amazon just cancels the order.

As to the date...IDW has this book listed as coming next week so if Citizen Wayne does order this he won't have too long to wait to get an answer.

Man, that bites. Having to come up with the money to pre-order these is a pain when you could've used that money for groceries.

... still, it'll be worth it when it actually arrives.

From the SDCC programme for Thursday July 12th:

3:00-4:00 IDW’s Artist’s Editions: What’s Next?— Editor Scott Dunbier answers questions about the Eisner Award-winning series from IDW. If you are a fan of original art, this is the panel for you: one hour of talking about what you want to see as an Artist’s Edition, and just gabbing about great art in general. Plus there will be a few fantastic announcements of forthcoming books. Room 9
