Includes the complete final chapter "Arms", 107 pages of original art, and 47 pages from previous chapters, none complete chapters. So for comparison to IDW we have the gallery at the beginning with random pages and the complete story following. An introduction by Chris Warner and a one page biography of Koike and Kojima.

I can't share any pages but it looks very nice. I'm looking at it on my 12.9" iPad Pro.
Oh man. I love this comic. And the movies. I need to make some room. Time to let go of the New Gods and Romita Spiderman, I think.

Midtown comics is having another site wide sale. Most AE format books are 40% off.

and ebay has a 20% off code good for today only.

Someone go buy all those AEs so I'm not tempted.

Thanks for the heads up! I’d like to browse their artist’s edition selection, but I must admit that I’ve never found their website to be terribly intuitive. Is there a search I can do that would bring back results for all artist editions type books? (The obvious search terms seemed to not apply) I’ve had to search individually for most and the ones I seem to be interested are out of stock, although I don’t get anything back at all when I search for Byrne’s FF book...

I always have to do multiple searches

Artists Edition
Artifact Edition
Gallery edition

The last time I was on their site I added a bunch I was interested in to my cart and then clicked on the "save for later" button so I could find them easier the next time they have a sale.
It would be nice if they added a category for them
I never know how to search for AEs. It's actually Artist's Edition but most sites use Artist or Artists.

Just ordered the Kirby/Simon art book from Amazon for $10. I was a way for a couple weeks so had to wait. Seems the folks here got the ones that were a few bucks cheaper. My own fault for posting about the deals on Amazon. Should have kept my mouth shut until I snagged one. ;)  Still I got a great buy!

Scott V - a quick aside. I was on CAF the other day looking at different Jim Cheung Doctor Doom art and I stumbled on your gallery. You have some seriously awe inspiring stuff in there (not that I expected any less)!

Thanks. I sold 400 pieces in 2015; what’s left are the things I really enjoyed, or personalized stuff I didn’t think would sell. It was then when I decided to go full force on AE formatted books.

Very excited about this. I'm curious that this AE seems ready but we have not yet even seen the final cover for the Starlin Cosmic Edition, despite the fact that it was scheduled to release first.

Wow that's going to be devastating on the old wallet. I may not be getting both immediately if they remain same day releases.

IDW has never released two on the same day, and I doubt they ever will. Two in two weeks, unfortunately, yes.

It's been a struggle but I ultimately ended up passing on Forever People and now Marvel Heroes & Monsters -- I want them, but I already have the two Fantastic Four AEs, Thor, two Kamandi, Mister Miracle, and New Gods. That's quite a sample of Kirby.

Unless something really mindblowing comes up, like a Kirby OMAC or The Demon AE, or a Curt Swan 60s Superman AE, I think Byrne's X-Men book will be my last AE for a long while.

What you're actually giving Sienkiewicz and JK Williams III a miss?
Unfortunately, I'm involuntarily giving the latter a miss because I didn't order it in time and my regular distributor says its already no longer available. I'm sure I can get it elsewhere when it comes out, but the price will be prohibitive.
Read between the lines or you'll fall through the cracks.

I think those guys are super-talented, but their art just doesn't excite or inspire me. Glad they have their fans, they deserve them, but they're not my cup of tea.

... the hell? Seriously? Didn‘t preorder it either as that has never been an issue with the Gallery Editions before. I‘m sure glad that I preordered the Sienkiewicz AE on the day it was announced, in case that might find the same fate. From the day the format was introduced a Sienkiewicz AE has been at the top of my wishlist.

I just ordered the Sienkiewicz book. Probably nothing for you guys but it's only my 3rd one of the (DC War & Prince Valiant are the others). Moon Knight was one of the very first superhero comics I collected (ROM, Ka-Zar, Micronauts, Star Wars were those others) and I had his New Mutants poster on the ceiling about my bed for years.
Fine, enjoy not reading comics because of the spine.
