Well, part 1 of the survey. I've got the first half completed and the second half coming this week before the next MM announcements by the 10th.

Here's the link to the introduction. There are currently two pages live, and the remainder of the survey (Future Masterworks and related MM questions) will be forthcoming. Thanks again for your patience and I look forward to reading up on some of the analysis and commentary posted here!

"2) Marvel Monsters of the '70s Vol. 1
42%, 680 power points, 38 first place votes"

If we can't get MOKF Omnibus, then at least give us this!

Glad to see Doctor Strange by Stern, Rogers & Golden (#48-55) as the top requested MPC!

I'm shocked that no one who participated admitted to being over 62 years old (if I read that right.)

Dispiriting that so many people voted for less frequency of Timely and Atlas volumes. Presumably the haters were already weeded out with the "not interested" answer option. Do people who like/buy the Timely/Atlas books want less per year because they are having trouble keeping up (financially) or is there something else at play here?

It could be that they have some intererest in Masterworks from those eras, but would rather see a greater % of the Masterworks program's resources put elsewhere.  That why I voted for decreasing the Atlas Era releases to 1-4.  If something was going to get cut at some point, I wanted my vote to be in that it be the Atlas Era releases.

That doesn't mean I don't own some Atlas Era Masterworks and don't have any interest in buying future Atlas Era volumes - I just don't have that much interest in the currently active Atlas Era lines.

Thank you, Gormuu!
The presentation of the survey results is very nice and well written. Looking forward to Part 2!

My biggest gripe (such as it is) remains that so few OHCs were included in that section. I own over 80 OHCs, and though most of them are of contemporary material instead of old/"classic" material, I would be interested in seeing what other OHCs are owned by Masterworks collectors. Likewise, I'm curious to see which Classic TPBs are being bought by Masterworks collectors.
But maybe it's just me!

I've acquired over 100 Marvel collections since I took the survey - I wonder if the results would be much different if folks took it now...

I hope the wait for the next survey isn't too long. How about next year?

Well done, folks!

Surprised I'm the median age as well.  Very nicely done Gormuu!  I hope we see a lot of the MPCs eventually from that list ...
I'd like to see in hardcover:
Avengers By Perez/Byrne (181-202)
Alpha Flight by John Byrne Omnibus
Excalibur by Claremont/Davis Omnibus Vol. 1

Shazam by Don Newton

New Mutants omnibus All the way down at 17 doesn't bode too well for my number one choice. At least my second choice Doctor strange is in at number 3, same as 2008. Can we release it already?

It's a little alarming to see that 48% of people never buy Essentials!

It's alarming to see that 52% people do. I'm disappointed one of the options to select was 'I only buy them if they come with a packet of colouring pencils.'
