Looks good and I suppose Herman Mawe.. (partially obscured) is German for Boaty McBoatyface.

Sorry Tomthecat it's a British thing when a public competition was held to name a new Antarctic explorer ship and this won but top brass didn't like it so called it the 'David Attenborough' instead, so boring.

No offence taken  Boaty McBoatyface, that's funny, I probably would've voted for that, too... The prospective crew probably wouldn't be too happy about such a name however.

I had no idea who Hermann Marwede was either. Looked him up on wikipedia. He was a longtime director of Beck's beer of Hamburg and a supporter of the "Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger", the German equivalent of the RNLI. This vessel was named after him to honour his and his family's support.

Hi all just thought I would show you what comes with this kit, got to say it's a lot of plastic for the money.

No flash and really nicely detailed, looks like a great kit.

While it's out Tom how about sticking a few bits together, seems silly putting it away again. :whistle

SIR David Attenborough!!

The onboard submarine was called "Boaty McBoatface"....Although technically, it should be "Subby McSubface"
If anything I write can be taken two ways, and one way upsets you, I meant it the other way!

Hi all made the crane for lifting the small rescue boat, I must say I'm very pleased with how this bit turned out (shame about the rest of it)
