So as it's now Cold War I can handle that.

Del: The A-10 Thunderbolt, Frogfoot, and the Harrier, come to mind. Also, there are some propeller driven aircraft produced by various countries.

Thanks Blaine, I'm not really thick but sometimes not sure as my problems have me relearning some things. So my Colombian A-29 Super Tucano would qualify as CAS? it's somewhere within these pages.

It would Del. :cool

But why bother going modern when you could build a Hurricane, Spitfire, Typhoon or Junkers 87 from your favorite era.....

to clarify CAS is basically aircraft that are used as direct support to ground troops, for example in iraq, afghanistan troops on the ground (including prince harry) used JTAC controllers to call in airstrikes on specific targets that were causing them trouble

the british, used, apache, harrier, tornado ect

in syria the same now with the typhoon too

hope that makes sense

now on with the cold war GB

Cheers for that Mark. So, now for the nit picking. Can the subject be any platform that was in use during the Cold War? Also, must it be in the markings of a Cold War player such as NATO or the Soviet bloc? The reason I ask is that I have a P-3C, AH-64D, and F-15 all in Japan Defense Forces markings.

It does Mark thanks.

I was serious about having to relearn things as so much disappeared from my memory when I had my first attack and finished up in hospital last year.
