Gordon Bennett Mark you must now have more Harriers than Hawks in your stash. That Forger B has to be the ugliest aircraft flying and if interested the colours are available from AKAN, numbers 73004 for the blue/green top and 73007 green bottom.

Had a busy weekend, buying-wise.  Got a couple of bargains off a Facebook model shop I use a lot.

And then went to Spalding "Wings and Things" model show yesterday and picked up a few more...

Mine can be.  Options are, standard blue/green, 3 tone camo, or grey/green.   I was planning on doing the camo, but having trouble locating the colours, plus the painting guide only shows top and one side.....🙄

Colour refs for Blue over green are in my Sep 21 post and this is the most common scheme and appeared at Farnborough air show in the 1970s?.

The later 2 grays is AKAN 73155 grey over 79043 Dark Grey pattern exactly the same as the blue over green with light grey positioned as the blue and dark grey positioned as the green. On this basis I would assume that nose wheel is grey and main wheels Dark grey. Cheapest place for AKAN is here   http://hpns.eu.nettihotelli.org/shop/akan  and their service is very good, you also have the choice of Enamel, acrylic or lacquer now and the set of 6 acrylic colours is AKAN 47323.

The tri-colour scheme I have found no references for but is a test scheme for Russian operations over Afghanistan.

Might have to go for the blue then, as there seems to be little, and conflicting info about the camo one.  Kit instructions show it as wraparound, but I have seen pics of other kits with a different colour underside.

They would have been kept cleaner ship board as other carrier operators do to keep the salt down. But your photos show them really grubby.

I forgot to mention that ?Quickboost/Aries do a fantastic resin upper intake set.

Before I built mine I looked for both the green and blue in other makes but either too dark or too bright and the AKAN paint is pre-faded. The paint set provides White, both green and blue and the 2 greys.

I looked at that link you put up Del, and they do a standard (the one you said) and a faded set.

The two seat Forger looks as it was dropped off a table and put together badly - by me!

Not plastic, (but no doubt the reason behind my rage as the historical accuracy of a certain recent model show), the long awaited Volume 6 arrived of this excellent collection relating to the Battle of Britain.

I can not praise this set enough and I would recommend these to anyone......, except Del..... 😆

Always liked the Matilda. Underated and under-developed.
Sgt York is a good kit too. Fancy trying that one again!
