Hey, there are many apps that do just that like HiroMacro, repetitouch etc. Can you do it somehow with MacroDroid too?

Enable experimental options and you will see launch and press and touch screen action.

Might now work on your device (hence they are still experimental).

MacroDroid is also compatible with other apps such as RepetiTouch Pro so I recommend you use this approach as I don't have resources to improve the in built feature any further and it will never be as good as a standalone app designed for only this purpose.

I enabled experimental options and activated launch and press touch screen action. But this requires ROOT ACCESS!? The reason I wanted to use this tool was because I thought it stood out from its competitors and was able to record touch actions WITHOUT root access...?

Many thanks for your reply. Could you please explain briefly why it is impossible to track any touch commands on an unrooted device? That would be very kind of you! (I'm sure there's a workaround via 3rd Party app nowadays)

Why cant an app just save the "xy" positions that one touches (e.g. local (app) directory), then recall the log upon a macro launch?

Because Android has a security model that prevents it, for example to stop malware that might want to track your touches as you login to your banking app.

raefe, you were sure that there are apps which can do this without root. I am looking for this feature. Can you name an app, pls.
